Technique Blog Hop - Artbooking Overlays

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop! This month we are using the Close To My Heart Artbooking Cricut cartridge layout overlays in a unique way. This blog hop is a great big circle so you can start wherever you want and continue through to see all the fabulous artwork incorporating this technique.

If you are coming from Debi's Blog, you are on the right track!

My card uses the bits and pieces that are left over after you cut an overlay. Using leftover White Daisy cardstock, I adhered three of the chevron pieces from the overlay from the Football layout. This piece was cut at 1 1/4" from the bottom and each piece was adhered to a Black 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" bottom opening card base, largest at the top and small at the bottom, creating a negative space between the two pieces.

Three more chevron pieces where attached along the negative space  Two of these smaller chevron piece were popped up with 3D Foam Tape and the last adhered directly.

Thanks for stopping by! Please continue onto Sheila's Blog where you will find some additional artwork highlighting this technique! Be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you thought. Happy hopping!
