I am working on layering and more complicated cards. I love Pinterest and two of the cards are Pinterest inspired --
Here are the three cards so I used several

The first card used embossed resist for the Eiffel Tower stamp image -- I started with the pink pattern paper from the La Belle Vie My Reflections paper packet
and the words from the Universal Backgrounds (D1477)
I second generation stamped (load ink, stamp off onto scrap paper, stamp on project)
I stamped the Eiffel Tower image in VersaMark ink, added clear embossing powder and using my trusty embossing buddy (a clipboard with a magazine wrapped in aluminum foil) I heat embossed the image.
Using black ink and a sponge dauber, I added ink to the piece, wiped with a paper towel revealing the embossed image.
Here is a quick Close To My Heart video demonstrating the Embossed Resist

I am intrigued by your embossing buddy-please share more about its function!
ReplyDeleteDebi, after chasing my project all over a cookie sheet and burning my fingers on a pair of tweezers, my embossing buddy is a clipboard with a magazine wrapped in aluminum foil. I stamp on this (cushion is good for great coverage) and after I add the embossing powder, I attach the project under a corner of the clip = no more chasing around. I keep it close to my embossing supplies!
