I went started my search and found a wonderfully creative and, yet, easy tutorial for a pop-up birthday cake card. In the past, I had created a cake design on the front of a card using rectangle shapes and a corner rounder, this took it one step further.
Here is the front of the card - the stars and arrow are My Stickease leftovers from the Victory My Reflections collection and the paper is from another retired paper packet. I love how you can mix and match. I cut the Happy Birthday from the Artiste Cricut cartridge on Colonial White and inked it in Olive.
The inside of the card, is a pop-up birthday cake (tutorial here). I used the Victory My Stickease for the cake decorations, stars again and a little birthday candle stamped in Outdoor Denim and Honey for the flame. I love the silver bling of the 50 and 'is nifty' was stamped from two different stamp sets.
Products Used:
Colonial White cardstock
Various stash paper and My Stickease
Artiste Cricut Collection Birthday Stamp and Cartridge (Z1790)
Card Word Puzzle (C1494)
Friendship Alpha
