Valentine Card - Roxie
I love being a part of the Card A Day design team and today is my first post for 2012. In keeping with this month's Use It or Lose It theme, I used my Roxie scraps to create the Valentine card, our Card A Day blog theme.
It was cool to find a scrap with the rose in just the right place. I had a Cricut image already cut sitting in my stash and it worked perfect for the sentiment, all it needed was a gold embossed rose. The images are from the Roxie Workshop on the Go (WOTG) kit exclusive stamp set. This stamp set is perfect for love, grunge, steampunk, and much more.
A little trim around the bottom rose petals and some curling of the petals and there was a little pocket for the sentiment piece to fit. Follow that up with a little trim around the embossed heart for the stamped Love image.
Triple matting (Smoothie cardbase, Desert Sand mat, Plaid B&T) popped the colors of the rose beautifully.
And finally a little embroidery floss finished the card.
Please take a moment and let me know what you thought of the card. Thank you.
